About this task

This task focuses on the static analysis of a plane frame subjected to concentrated horizontal and vertical loads. Students calculate the support reactions, determine the axial and shear forces in each frame member, and evaluate the bending moments at the characteristic sections required to construct the internal force diagrams. The exercise develops practical skills in equilibrium analysis, sign conventions, and interpretation of force and moment distributions in framed structures. It is suitable for engineering statics, strength of materials, and structural mechanics courses.
